On October 31, 2012, at 11:00 AM, officers from the Moreno Valley Police Department responded to a report of two attempted kidnappings.
Officers met two female high school students who stated they were approached by a black male adult in his forties. The subject asked the female students to get in his van and spend time with him. Both students refused and asked the subject to leave them alone.
In the attempt on Cottonwood Avenue, the male exited his vehicle and walked toward the female student while continually attempting to entice her to go with him. The female student continually refused and the subject grabbed the female student by the arm and pulled her toward him. The female told the subject to let her go or she would call the police. She then pulled away from the subject and fled the area.
In the attempt on Eucalyptus Avenue, the subject exited his vehicle, walked toward a female student and tried to talk the student into getting into the van with him. The female student told the subject male to leave her alone or she would call the police, causing the subject to leave the area.
In both attempts, the subject left the area in a white van after the female students told him they were going to call the Moreno Valley PD. 951-486-6700.
The suspect was described as a heavy set black male about 40 years old, unshaven, short dark hair, wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans
